하고 싶은 일이 있다면 그 일을 한 적이 있는 사람과 상담해 보십시오. 자기가 하고 싶은 것을 한 적 있는 사람과 친해지면 실현에 훨씬 가까워집니다. 하고 싶은 것이 있다면 한 적이 있는 사람을 찾는 것이 가장 가까운 지름길입니다. 그러니 꿈은 여기저기 소문낼수록 좋습니다. 만나는 사람마다 계속해서 말하면 좋습니다. 언제든 기회가 있습니다. 하지만 그러기 싫겠죠. 꿈을 떠벌리고 싶지 않겠죠. 바보 취급을 당할지도 모르니까요. 비웃음을 살지도 모르니까요. 부정될지도 모르니까요. 때로는 놀림을 다하고 괴롭힘을 당할지도 모르니까요. 그런데 불쾌한 일은 다시 겪고 싶지 않아서 자신의 꿈을 아무에게도 말하지 않는 사람도 있을지 모릅니다. 이야기를 들은 사람 중에 당신을 도와줄 사람이 나올지도 모릅니다. 그런 기회를 잃는 건 아까운 노릇입니다. 지지해 줄 사람을 만날 때까지 꿈을 계속말하세요. 동료를 찾으세요. 그것이 꿈을 이루는 지름길입니다.

너무 당연한 말을 하는 것 같나요? 저는 <영재발굴단>예능을 참 즐겨봐요.^^ 천재에 가까운 아이들이란 생각을 하곤해요. 저 아이들 중에 어떤 아이는 너무나 엉뚱하기만하여서 꿈이라고 할 수 있을까 그런 염려가 되었던 아이도 있었어요. 타워를 그리는 창섭이라는 아이였는데 나중에 영재발굴단에서 세계에서 초고층빌딩 다수를 설계 총괄한 제임스본 클렘퍼러를 만나게 해줘요. 저는 얼마나 감격스러웠는지 몰라요^^; 그 아이가 인정받는 것이 제 일처럼 기뻤어요. 창섭이란 아이를 그냥 특이한 아이로만 치부하고 그쳤다면 모든 연결이 그냥 그자리에서 그쳤을 겁니다. 우연이 필연이 될때가 있어요. 부모님은 창섭이가 달라보였을 겁니다. 창섭이의 꿈은 이뤄질까요? 저는 이뤄지는데 한 층 더 가까이 다가갔으리라 생각합니다.
